Travelling to Maison Tortue via Toulouse airport

Closest International Airport:

Car Rental:

This is the best and easiest way to get to Castelnau-de-Montmiral and it takes less than one hour to drive from the airport.  It is advisable to pre-rent your car from the Blagnac Airport from your home country to avoid French taxes. Some come equipped with a GPS but most of the economy cars do not. You can, however, rent them as well but you should specify if you need one.  If you are not using a GPS, most agents have local maps but it's better to bring your own detailed map.  For good advice on car rentals and other forms of transportation, check out Rick Steves' website.        

Public Transportation:

There is no public transportation into or out of Castelnau-de-Montmiral so getting there without a car takes more organizing, but it is only somewhat more difficult.  Buses from the airport to the train station in Toulouse leave every half hour or so.  At the train station, purchase a ticket for Gaillac. Trains run frequently and the commute is 40-50 minutes. Taxis don't generally wait at the Gaillac train station so it is advisable to pre-arrange one. If you need this information, please contact us.
